My background is in videography, having worked for the Christian Broadcasting Network (The 700 Club) for 25 years, shooting news and feature stories. I met various people and personalities, traveled the country, seeing all 50 states; and the world, working in 35 countries. It was a privilege doing so. In fact, I was rather lucky.
​
I hold a Bachelors in Television Production from George Fox University, and a Masters of Communication from Regent University. In and of themselves, these degrees mean nothing. I have found that learning continues, no matter your educational background. You have to constantly be open to new ideas and styles and techniques, constantly adjusting to the culture and trends.
​
With real estate media, I aim to bring a different "eye" to the media process, one honed by experience over years of dealing with different situations, people, and scenarios. I believe this will help me find the true "essence" of each property, from the "average" to the exceptional.

My main goal in all of this is to serve. This is where you, the client comes first, always. If you are not happy, neither am I. I look forward to serving YOU!
My Story
My wife, Kristin, and I have been married for 23 years. We have two sons, Jacen and Joshua. We lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia for most of that time, while I worked at CBN. As I mentioned earlier, I traveled extensively, even visiting the Upstate for a fair amount of stories. At those times I never thought I would eventually call this area home! We've lived here in the Upstate for the past 4 1/2 years.
After CBN we spent a brief time in Idaho, where I have family. Work was scarce and housing double, even triple, what it is here in South Carolina. So we decided to return to the east coast, and were recommended by friends to check out the Greenville area. Having been throughout the Carolinas while I was at CBN, we had a fairly good idea of what the lay of the land was. We've not regretted the decision to settle here.

As a family, we enjoy the many hiking and camping opportunities the area affords, the Logos Theatre in Taylors, and the Foothills Philharmonic in Greer. Falls Park in Greenville remains a favorite as well. We've attended Studio Greenville Church for the past year and a half.
​
Personally, I'm a bit of a film buff. I pretty much have a film quote for just about anything, I also am a nut for history, being a huge fan of Andrew Roberts, Niall Ferguson, and Douglas Murray; I'm also an avid gardener. Don't be surprised by a photo and note dropped into the middle of my Instagram posts about the latest success with okra, or cantelopes. I'm also somewhat of an amateur cook.

Why the name "Sojourn Creative Media"? A 'Sojourn' is a stop in an area and dwelling there for a while. It's sort of a reflection on my past travels: five days here, two weeks there. We sort of "sojourn" in life, right? We are in this life for a while, and then...
'Creative' is simply what it is, being as creative as possible either shooting a home or a training video. How can we convey a point through creative means? It is a struggle in a lot of ways, with much learning. But diamonds are formed through pressure....
