Hi!

Hi, I’m Damien—thank you for visiting the site.

My professional background is in videography, with 25 years at the Christian Broadcasting Network (The 700 Club) shooting news and feature stories. That work allowed me to collaborate with a wide range of people and personalities, travel to all 50 states, and work in 35 countries around the world. It was a unique privilege, and one I do not take for granted.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Television Production from George Fox University and a Master’s degree in Communication from Regent University. While formal education has value, I believe learning never stops. Staying effective in this field requires a constant openness to new ideas, evolving styles, emerging techniques, and shifting cultural trends.

In real estate media, I bring a distinct perspective—an experienced “eye” shaped by decades of working in diverse environments and situations. That experience allows me to identify and capture the true essence of each property, whether it is straightforward or exceptional.

Above all, my goal is to serve. The client always comes first. If you are not satisfied, neither am I. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.

My Story

My wife, Kristin, and I have been married for 23 years, and we are the proud parents of two sons, Jacen and Joshua. For most of our marriage, we lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where I worked at CBN. During that time, I traveled extensively—including frequent assignments in the Upstate—though I never imagined it would one day become our home. Today, we have happily lived in the Upstate for the past four and a half years.

After leaving CBN, we spent a brief 18 months in Meridian, Idaho, where I have family. However, work opportunities were limited, and housing costs were double—sometimes triple—what they are in South Carolina. Ultimately, we decided to return to the East Coast, and friends encouraged us to explore the Greenville area. Having worked throughout the Carolinas during my years at CBN, we had a solid sense of the region. We have not regretted our decision to settle here.

As a family, we enjoy the many outdoor opportunities the Upstate offers, including hiking and camping, as well as the cultural richness of the area. We regularly attend performances at the Logos Theatre in Taylors and the Foothills Philharmonic in Greer, and Falls Park in downtown Greenville remains a favorite destination. We also attend North Hills Church in Taylors.

On a more personal note, I am a lifelong film enthusiast, having attended film school in the 1990s, and I seem to have a movie quote ready for nearly any occasion. I am also a devoted student of history, with a particular appreciation for the work of Andrew Roberts, Niall Ferguson, and Douglas Murray. In addition, I am an avid gardener—so do not be surprised if an occasional photo and note appear on my Instagram feed highlighting a successful harvest of okra, cauliflower, or cantaloupes. I am also something of an amateur cook.

As for the name Sojourn Creative Media: a “sojourn” is a temporary stay—a dwelling in a place for a time. The name reflects both my past years of travel—five days here, two weeks there—and a broader view of life itself. In many ways, we are all sojourners, here for a season before moving on to what lies ahead.

“Creative” speaks to the heart of my work. Whether filming a home, producing a training video, or covering an office event, my goal is to approach each project with creativity and innovation. How can a message be conveyed visually? How can we learn to think in pictures? It is an ongoing process of growth and refinement—but, as with diamonds, the best results are often formed under pressure.

I hope to be of service to you during this brief journey we share.
